This Christmas was such an amazing time. I loved every minute of it. It is the best to just spend a week on and off with all those who mean so much to Dad and I. This year I decided to put picture ornaments on the tree of all our children when they were little. My goal is to have a photo of every grandchild on the tree too. Presents were awesome but honestly, if we would have exchanged simple hand made gifts the feeling would have been the same. Christmas means love and family and most of all, The Savior. The family dinner was lame. I will never prepare or eat Kalua Pork again. On top of that I steeped the lemons too long in the tortilla soup so it was bitter. Next year we are having soup, large devined shrimp, cheese balls, salads and rolls. Hey, I did make some fantastic fudge though. As the Christmas celebration ended I was excited for the next big thing, the birth of Bri and Jeff's baby in June. And if you have read Danica's blog you know what my biggest surprise of the season was - she and LJ will be having baby number four in late August or early September. She found out while she was here for our family Christmas party. Then, just a week later, Trev and Kylie announced that they are having a baby too. WOW and DOUBLE WOW!!! My sewing machine is coming out of storage because I have lots of baby gear to make. Dad and I are thrilled. There is always so much love brought into every one's life with the birth of a precious little one - and we are being blessed with three!! I get teary when I think about it. Dad and I absolutely ADORE BABIES!!! This is truly a testimony of Heavenly Father's great love and trust in all of us as a family. Each of us will play an important role in the lives of these new little ones. Our love for each individual in our family will multiply as we meet challenges and share God's tender mercies. Children are the ultimate teachers of unconditional Christ Like Love. My children have taught me more than anyone else ever could. HAPPY NEW YEAR and best wishes to the weary and nauseous mom's to be. We'll say extra prayers for you, LJ. You will be the most patient man in the world with all your child rearing experience:}
